Pure Stanza

Affiliate Disclosure

Effective date: 12 October 2026

Pure Stanza earns money in one way and one way only: paid affiliate links to a single game, used throughout the course as its worked example. This page explains the arrangement in full, because a reader deciding how much weight to give a recommendation is entitled to know who pays for it.

The arrangement

MARTYNAT s.r.o., the publisher of this site, takes part in an affiliate program for World of Warships, operated by the affiliate network that operates the link. Where the course names that game, the link to it is an affiliate link. If you follow one of those links and go on to create and activate an account, the network records the referral as ours and pays MARTYNAT s.r.o. a commission. The commission is paid for the sign-up, the download and the account activation; it is not conditional on your spending anything afterwards.

Following the link costs you nothing, and arriving through it does not change the price of anything. There is no discount attached to it either, and no code: we make no offer of our own, because we are not the vendor and have nothing to offer.

No money changes hands if you simply read the course. If every reader read all five steps and never followed a link, this site would earn nothing, and the steps would still say exactly what they say now.

Where the affiliate links appear

There are six of them, in fixed places, and each carries a line of its own disclosure beside it:

  • on the course overview, in the section explaining why one game is used as the example;
  • in Step 1, where the account and its activation are described;
  • in Step 2, where we explain that we do not publish any title's system requirements;
  • in Step 3, where we explain that we do not publish any title's prices or terms;
  • in Step 4, beside the general installation procedure;
  • and in Step 5, beside the section on chat and reporting.

Each link goes directly to the destination the network gave us. We do not route clicks through a redirect of our own, we do not rewrite the address when you click, and the destination you see in your browser's status bar is the one you reach. Every such link opens in a new tab and is marked for search engines as sponsored.

There are no affiliate links in the checklists, the legal pages, the About page or the Contact page, and no advertising anywhere on the site.

What the commission does not decide

It does not decide what the steps say. The advice about disk space, about reading a licence clause, about using a password nowhere else, about writing down a yearly spending figure, would be identical if the arrangement ended tomorrow.

It does not decide what we claim about the game. We state only what the vendor's own affiliate material states — that the commission is paid on a single opt-in, a download, and the creation and activation of an account, and that it is offered for Windows and macOS desktop computers and not for Linux. We publish no prices, no system requirements, no download size, no content description and no classification rating for it, because the vendor does not state those to us and inventing them would be both dishonest and, for a business making claims to Australian consumers, unlawful.

It does not decide the order of the course or what is left out. The course tells you how to compare products, how to read the terms yourself, and how to decide to spend nothing at all — including in the step that sits immediately beside an affiliate link.

What does decide the content

Three things. The order in which decisions actually confront a beginner, which sets the sequence of the five steps. The public guidance of Australian bodies — the Australian Classification Board, the eSafety Commissioner, the ACCC, the OAIC, Scamwatch and the Australian Cyber Security Centre — which anchors anything touching law, safety or privacy. And what a reader can verify on their own computer, which is why Step 2 names panels you can open yourself.

One honest qualification. The example game was not selected by comparing games on their merits; it was selected because an affiliate arrangement exists for it. That is the single place where the commercial relationship touches the content, and we would rather say it than leave you to infer it. The editorial method on the About page sets out how the course is sourced and reviewed in more detail.
